King Swazo is a Nigerian musical artist who began his career in 2009 as an R&B singer before transitioning to gospel reggae. His unique blend of dancehall reggae and gospel offers his fans music that inspires both dancing and reflection. Swazo gained significant attention in 2020 with the release of his hit single, “Big Things (Jah Love).”

King Swazo: Early Life and Background

King Swazo, born Obioma Isaac Amadi, hails from Imo State in southeastern Nigeria. He was born on March 6, sometime between 1991 and 1995, placing him in his late 20s. From an early age, Swazo showed a strong passion for music. By the age of 8, he had already begun as a drummer in his church, where he also sang in the choir and played the keyboard.

During his secondary school days, Swazo and his friends formed a group and performed at school and neighborhood events, which nurtured his love for music. Eventually, he chose to pursue a solo career.

Swazo completed his primary and secondary education in Warri, Delta State. Although his family originates from the southeast, they resided in Delta State during his early years. After secondary school, he attended the University of Calabar, where he completed his tertiary education. He studied economics at the University of Calabar.

During his university days, Swazo rekindled his music career, performing at campus events and social gatherings, which helped him expand his audience before going digital.
